Maheshwari Premier League (MPL) is a cricket league established in the year 2013 . The league is contested during December every year representing 8 to 6 teams from Guwahati. The league which is based on a round-robin group and knockout format where teams plays against each other for 6 days to win the coveted trophy. The brainchild of Maheshwari Yuva Sangathan (MYS), Guwahati, the MPL has developed into the most lucrative and most popular outlet for the game of cricket in entire North East.

History
- MPL is Played since the year 2010
- Initially it was Mini MPL Tournament but With the Increase in love of Players and audience towards the tournament it became Mega Event from the year 2013. With the increasing love and demand from the female section of the society MYS had started organizing “MPL Women” since 2016, along with this Mega Event where six teams participated and played against each other and the top two team qualified for the finals and it was highly appreciated by all the sections of the society.
